Privacy Policy
How importcostcalculator.com handles calculator inputs, analytics, optional email alerts, and future partner links.
What We Collect
Nothing entered into the calculator leaves your browser. Product value, shipping cost, insurance, unit count, duty rate, and sale price are processed client-side only and are not sent to our server.
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand basic site usage. GA4 may collect standard usage data such as page views, events, approximate location, device information, browser information, and cookie-based identifiers.
Affiliate Links
We may link to partners such as supplier-payment providers or freight forwarders. Those partners may set cookies on their own sites if you click through. We do not receive personal data from those partners. None of these affiliate links are live yet.
Email Alerts (Optional)
If you opt in to Tariff Change Alerts, we collect the email address you provide and, if you choose one, the product category you select. We use Kit (ConvertKit) as our email service provider to store subscriber details and deliver these alerts; Kit processes this data on our behalf under its own privacy and security practices. Signup uses double opt-in — you will not receive anything unless you confirm from your inbox first. Alert emails are sent only when a tariff rule actually changes, never on a schedule, and never for marketing. Every email includes an unsubscribe link that works immediately. To request a copy or deletion of your subscription data, contact us below.
No Accounts
This site does not offer user accounts, does not store calculator inputs, and does not sell personal data. If you opt in to email alerts, your email address and selected category are stored by our email service provider as described above — that is the only personal data collected by this site.
